mGa1 Full L-Band GNSS Antenna for UAVs and Rovers

The mGa1 is an active GNSS antenna for UAVs and ground use. One broadband element covers all GNSS bands: L1/E1, L2, L5/E5a, E5b, E6/L6, plus SBAS and L-band correction services.

Every variant is based on the round 15 cm element, adapted to the customer’s platform. The radiation pattern is homogeneous, so positioning does not depend on the heading of the UAV or rover.

Receivers: u-blox X20, R20 and F9, Septentrio mosaic-G5 and mosaic-X5, and similar multi-frequency receivers.

Variants

In the air (UAV): standard

Very flat design for installation in the fuselage or wing. The cable exits sideways above the ground plane; cable and connector follow the customer’s specification.

In the air: with resonator ring, cable above the ground plane

The resonator ring strengthens reception of satellites near the horizon. As on the standard version, the cable exits sideways above the ground plane.

In the air: with resonator ring, cable below the ground plane

The same resonator ring. The cable is led out downwards from the centre, below the ground plane.

On the ground: rover, vehicle, stationary

Resonator ring optional. Built into a rover or vehicle as a module, or for base stations in a housing with 5/8"-11 tripod thread and TNC connector. The housing is in development.
